Peaches von Giggles quite fond of her new iPhone

Peaches von Giggles of the West Slope village in Bellicose Junction is proud of her new iPhone.

She purchased the phone on eBay after the death of Steve Jobs.

"I wanted to pay a tribute to Mr. Jobs," she told us. "So I logged on with my blackberry, and found the cheapest phone I could find. I wouldn't have minded even if it was broken, or even if it didn't work. I just wanted an iPhone."

Ms. Giggles finally found her match: A phone for $.23 after a buy it now feature. It is the original iPhone.

Mr. Giggle received her phone a few days after Mr. Jobs passed away. Immediately, though, she ran into a glitch: The phone doesn't turn on.

That hasn't stopped Ms. Giggles from showing off the phone at parties, events, bus stops, restaurants, river front parking lots, underground fallout shelters, and barbecues with candidates for the presidency of Russia. "I make it look like I'm using it," she explained, "and most people don't know I don't even have it on."

Ms. Giggles' next quest: A black turtleneck sweater. Get ready eBay, here she comes.
